Barriers to technology innovation among nascent entrepreneurs in deprived areas

Entrepreneurs in economically challenged areas frequently rely on financial and technical incentives aid from public local governments to embrace apply new technology. This study aims investigate the challenges technology innovation that these businesses face. Based a survey of 422 nascent entrepreneurs Banjarmasin, Indonesia, an empirical model determinants influencing adoption is developed. The current used factor analysis as methodological tool identify critical impediments innovation. study’s findings highlighted five major barriers. More resources are needed: locations need help get necessary funds support their creative endeavors. There for more skilled individuals: locate keep employees with appropriate technological skills. Unfavorable economic conditions exacerbate problem by making it difficult access markets could innovative efforts. Furthermore, there needs be collaborative efforts, places needing collaboration networking possibilities, expanding potential develop. Finally, identifies insufficient government barrier assisting adopting novel technologies. These hurdles can efficiently overcome assistance, private-sector investment, efforts among entrepreneurs.
